ISMS Homework: Week 2

Face to Face with God | Chapter 3 & 4

  1. What does it take to radically obey God when he isn't giving you as much information as you like? What is He trying to teach us when this happens?

  2. Why is it important to focus on seeing the face of God rather than just what God can do for us? Do you live with an expectation that God is speaking to you? How can you begin to “lean into his voice”?

Genesis | Chapter 14 & 15

  1. Abram took on a powerful King in order to rescue Lot and his family. Abram had divine courage and he had a trained army of 318 men. How willing are you to act immediately when others need your help? What keeps you from taking action when the odds seem against you?

  2. God made a covenant with Abram telling him he would have a son and be the father of a great nation. Abram believed God and it was counted to him as righteousness. How does faith in God make the difference? What is the sign of the covenant you have with God that increases your faith?
