ISMS Homework: Week 5

Face to Face with God | Chapter 9 & 10

  1.   Are you seeking Jesus’ face with reckless abandon? Have you become satisfied to live a life without His power? If so how can you become passionate about demonstrating the power of God in your life? Do you expect to see miracles in your life as a result of the Holy Spirit’s residence in your life?

  2.  The power of sin is old news. The news needed today is the power of authentic love of God that transforms everything it touches. Do you look for opportunities to speak words of life and encourage others? What might be holding you back? Think of someone who needs words of encouragement right now that will attract God’s favor in their lives, and plan to speak  that encouragement to them.

Genesis | Chapter 20 & 21

  1. Once again Abraham used this lying trick to protect himself from a king out of fear. No matter how much we love God we can give in to temptation and it can become a sinful pattern. Ask Holy Spirit if there are any temptations that are becoming patterns in your life. What does he want you to do about them? When we become fearful, does God protect us like he did Abraham?

  2. God was with Abraham in everything he did, God fulfilled His promise in giving Isaac and blessed both of Abraham’s sons. Does it help you to know that in your walk with God he is with you in everything? How does it change what and how you do things and what you think to know this is true?
