ISMS Homework: Week 8

Apprehended Identity chap. 5-6

  1. How does the idea that Jesus died AS you change the way you think about your identity in Him? We are not identified by what we do wrong or what we do right? Are you still struggling with ideas about yourself that the Bible says you already have in Jesus?

  2. What does it mean to you to be “In Him”? How does that teaching of the Bible challenge your thinking and behaving when it comes to sin?

The Gospel of Matthew | Chapter 6-10

  1.  Jesus taught “as one having authority”. Do you recognize His authority when he says a true disciple does the will of my Father? Is there a gap between what you believe and what you do? How does obedience to the will of Jesus demonstrate real faith?

  2. When Jesus healed the centurion’s servant  he didn't go to him but just said the word and it was done.  How does this story affect your practice of healing ministry? Can God use you to heal across time and space?
