The Gospel of Matthew | Chapters 16-20
The scene in Matthew chap 17 of the Transfiguration is a future view of the Kingdom of God. Jesus in His glory is speaking to Moses and Elijah and God speaks to affirm the work of His Son. How does God’s manifest presence affect you? Do you see it as something that can only happen in the Bible or does it still happen today? How does God coming into our world with His presence affect you now?
Jesus speaks of the future reward of those who follow Him at the end of Chapter 19. How does it motivate you to serve when you read how there will be a reward?
